“Astrology Is Guidance, Not Superstition” — Rahul Shastri Declares At Bharat Podcast
New Delhi: In today’s digital age, while interest in astrology and spirituality is growing rapidly, the network of fake astrologers and self-proclaimed occult practitioners is also expanding. Discussing this important issue on Bharat Podcast, renowned astrologer Pandit Rahul Shastri shared his insights in a detailed conversation with host Deepak Saraswat.
During the podcast, Rahul Shastri stated that many people today have turned astrology into nothing more than a business. According to him, simply using mobile applications or online horoscope software is not enough to make accurate predictions.
A true astrologer is one who can correctly analyze a person’s past, present, and potential future. Describing astrology as the “eyes of the Vedas,” he explained that its purpose is not to frighten people but to make them aware of life’s challenges in advance.
Astrology serves as a guide that helps individuals find the right direction rather than a miracle capable of completely changing destiny.
Rahul Shastri also highlighted the importance of the Panchang (Hindu calendar). He explained that its five key elements—Tithi (lunar day), Vara (weekday), Nakshatra (constellation), Yoga, and Karana—play a crucial role in determining auspicious timings for important activities. He emphasized that muhurats (auspicious timings) provided without proper calculations can mislead people.
The discussion also addressed the difference between faith and superstition. Rahul Shastri clarified that any form of violence, sacrifice, or harmful practice has no connection with genuine astrology. He urged people to understand the logic and authenticity behind any remedy before following it.
Speaking about debt relief and success, he explained that harmony between a person’s planetary influences, ongoing astrological periods (dashas), and chosen profession is essential. He added that, at times, the reason for failure despite hard work is not planetary influence but efforts directed toward the wrong path.
Addressing misconceptions about Saturn (Shani) and the period of Sade Sati, he said that Saturn has been unnecessarily portrayed as a symbol of fear. According to him, Saturn is the giver of karmic results and rewards or challenges individuals according to their actions. He claimed that many people have achieved major successes in life during their Sade Sati period.
On relationships and love marriages, Rahul Shastri remarked that attraction alone cannot be called love. For a successful marriage, mental, familial, and social compatibility are equally important. He also observed that a third person often plays a role in many marital disputes.
Discussing gemstones, he warned that wearing any gemstone without proper astrological consultation can be harmful. Correct knowledge of the relevant planet, the appropriate gemstone, and the proper method of wearing it is essential. He further noted that individuals should also follow the values and conduct associated with that planet.
Towards the end of the podcast, Rahul Shastri advised people to remain cautious of fake godmen and occult practitioners. He said that anyone claiming to solve every problem within a few hours or minutes should be carefully verified. People should examine an astrologer’s profile, experience, and working methods before placing their trust in them.
The central message of the discussion was that astrology should be viewed not as superstition but as a guiding science. People should avoid false claims and misleading influences while making decisions with wisdom, logic, and understanding.
